Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:13-14 KJV
Yes, Jesus was being made a curse for us that we might have the blessing of Abraham.
Notice that exchange.
It is exactly the same as the exchange on the subject of sin or sickness or any of the other great exchanges that took place at Calvary.
Just as in the exchange of sin for our salvation where we need to repent and believe in Him to be saved,
We have to renounce curses from our past and proclaim what He did for us on the cross that we may walk in His full blessing.
After the fulfillment of the condition that we have received the promise of the Spirit through faith, no curses will then be able to come upon us henceforth.
This is the same as Christ redeemed us from sin
