Religious spirits

A word of Wisdom
On religious spirits

The early disciples preached the gospel of the Kingdom of God and confirmed the Word being preached with signs and wonders as instructed by Christ.

Mark 16:15-18 KJV
And he said unto them,
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[17] And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
[18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Mark 16:20 KJV
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Peter and John healed a lame man from birth, thereby preaching the reality of the Kingdom of God and yet the religious spirits questioned and doubted them by what authority and power that they did the good works, instead of believing in the miracle that only God is capable of performing.

Acts 4:7-10 KJV
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked,
By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
[8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them,
Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
[9] If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
[10] Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Today, in this faithless and religious-minded generation, the very opposite situation has become prevalent.

It is the norm presently that religious-minded ministers preach in strength and academic pride by the power of persuasion with excellency of speech or of man's wisdom and by the authority of the intellectual reasoning faculty of man.
And needless to say, no evidences of the confirmation of their preaching by any signs and wonders whatsoever.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 KJV
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
[2] For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
[3] And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
[4] And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
[5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Interestingly no religious authorities like the Pharisees challenges them the truth or reality of the sermons they preached, by what authority and by what power they preached even though there is absolutely no demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
No one seems to question them for the proof that the Lord Jesus is working with them.
Ironically, they have simply become the religious-minded authoritarian Pharisees themselves who once went against the early disciples for carnal reasons.

Yet where there are demonstrations of the signs and wonders by non mainstream ministers and disciples in confirmation of the Word being preached, these are being ridiculed and accused of being false teachers, pouring out a false baptism with demonic spirits.
Even though the "false ministers" are not exactly without faults, these religious spirits choose to conveniently ignore the fact that a very great multitude received salvation through the leading of these "false ministers" whereas they themselves have personally lead few or none to salvation.
The point being who is much more fruitful?

Do you see how much we have strayed from the simple instructions of Christ?
"...these signs shall follow them that believe.."
" the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following..."

Whatever our opinions be, let us take care of not being used by the Accuser of our brethren, the devil.

Revelation 12:10 KJV
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,
Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Whatsoever we judge of our brethren, even though their ways disagree with our own understanding of how God works, let us take care of not blaspheming the Holy Ghost.

Luke 12:10 KJV
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him:
but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Let us keep ourselves in the fear of the LORD, let us acknowledge our limited understanding of His ways.

Proverbs 14:12 KJV
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Let us keep our tongues clean lest we find ourselves coming against God's plan for His Kingdom.

Acts 5:38-39 KJV
And now I say unto you,
Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
[39] But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

Let us repent and seek the LORD in all our judgements and our discernments and not lean on our own presumptuous understandings nor carnal eyes unless the LORD speaks to us clearly and definitely.

Isaiah 55:6-9 KJV
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
[7] Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
[8] For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
[9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Bless God.
