Preaching the Gospel

A word of Wisdom
On Preaching the Gospel

Luke 8:1 KJV
And it came to pass afterward, that he [Jesus] went throughout every city and village,
preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

What is the preaching of the gospel according to Jesus?

Modern Christianity (or Churchianity) has got it all wrong.
Preaching the gospel does not mean preaching a sermon in the pulpit or any place.
Nor does it means just telling about Jesus Christ.

Preaching the gospel simply means proclaiming the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God, according to what Jesus meant.

Proclaiming the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God is not simply proclaiming our Lord Jesus Christ.
You actually do need to show or in other words demonstrate what you proclaimed Jesus Christ to be.

Yes, you are REQUIRED to prove by demonstration the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God that is being proclaimed.

Mark 16:20 KJV
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and CONFIRMING the word with signs following. Amen.

Otherwise, why and how should the hearers believe what you have proclaimed to be the Truth?

[And for that matter, why should any one believe the preaching of any pulpit man-ordained unproven pastors if they do not confirm the Word preached with demonstrated signs?]

But what is it are we to "shew" , to demonstrate, to prove, you ask?
The glad tidings of the Kingdom of God, just as Jesus did it, of course!

What are the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God?
This is the answer Jesus gave to John the Baptist:

Luke 7:20-23 KJV
When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying,
Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

[21] And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
[22] Then Jesus answering said unto them,
Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard;
how that the blind see,
the lame walk,
the lepers are cleansed,
the deaf hear,
the dead are raised,
to the poor the gospel is preached.
[23] And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Further, Jesus even declared to us what He has been sent to accomplish according to the Prophet Isaiah:

Luke 4:17-21 KJV
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised,
[19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
[20] And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

[21] And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

And what did our Lord Jesus specifically instructed us to do?

Luke 9:2 KJV
And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Matthew 10:7-8 KJV
And as ye go, preach, saying,
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Are you following the Word of God or blindly following the customs and traditions of men?

Are you a believer yet filled with unbelief and is offended in His Word what He has instructed His followers?

Luke 20:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
