Elitism and Gnosticism
A word of Wisdom
On Elitism and Gnosticism
A) Elitism
Mark 10:42-45 KJV
But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them,
Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
[43] But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
[44] And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
[45] For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
The meaning of a Minister these days is no longer according to the Word, that is, a servant of all men.
A Minister in current times not only exercise worldly leadership and authority upon brethrens but also expected to be respected and revered according to their Educational Degrees and Designation in the church community and even in the world.
They considered themselves more educated and superior in matters of faith and a leader among brethrens in church matters and even nurture future leaders.
Little did they realised that all these ways of man are simply manifestations of pride and the flesh, and contribute little to the Kingdom of God.
The Way should have been in listening to the instructions of Christ and be lead by the Holy Spirit in ALL THINGS.
Luke 18:17 KJV
Verily I say unto you,
Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

B) Gnosticism
On the other side of the coin are Spirit-filled Ministers that supposing they are gifted with supernatural powers of the Holy Spirit, walking in signs and wonders, perceiving themselves as having a more perfect knowledge and understanding than the rest of the brethrens (indeed!),
have forgotten their purpose is to serve and minister to all men, to teach all things Christ commanded us rather than for the purposes of the desires of their flesh.
They too have proclaimed themselves to be a leader among brethrens and exercise authority over their followers.
Among these whom perceived themselves to be in a spiritual leadership (indeed!),
there are some that succumbed to the temptations of the flesh and the devil and accused and judged harshly of fellow ministers and brethrens who are walking in the flesh, taking the supposition that they are superior to them in all things.
Where in place of meaningless attacks of the flesh, they should have been servants of love and seek ways and in prayers to reveal the Truth to brethrens to bring them back into remembrance of the Way which be in Christ.
Matthew 11:29 KJV
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

1 Thessalonians 2:11-13 KJV
As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,
[12] That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
[13] For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because,
when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us,
ye received it not as the word of men,
but as it is in truth, the word of God,
which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
