a Ceremonial Religion vs a Life-giving Church
A word of Wisdom
On a Ceremonial Religion vs a Life-giving Church
Colossians 2:8 KJV
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:45-46 KJV
And so it is written,
The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
Followers of Christ, unveil your eyes and see, open your ears and hear:
Are you walking in the Life-giving Spirit of God or are you really just going through the motion in a ceremonial religion.
Christ did not die to give us a religion but He died to give us the living water of Life and life everlasting.
Are you simply ceremoniously repeating the activities of religion, of traditions of men, of philosophy, of vanity, of the flesh, be it in the church or in your privacy, week after week, day after day?
Does that bring Life to your life, does it quicken your own spirit?
John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If you are not walking according to the Way and the Truth that Jesus Christ has shown us, you are not walking in the Life He has intended for us by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Compare your activities or works in the church and out of the church with the life our LORD lived, with the life the apostles and disciples lived,
can you find ANYTHING similar to them?
Everything from
- the proclamation of the Kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning our Lord Jesus Christ,
- to the baptisms with water and with the Holy Spirit,
- to teaching all nations to observe all things whatsoever our LORD commanded us,
- to healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, casting out devils;
freely we have received freely give.
Matthew 15:7-9 KJV
Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Now, instead of these Life-giving activities by the Power of the Holy Spirit, what have you been doing?
Do you even believed in these things mentioned?
Are you not a hearer only, rather than a do-er?
Are you not a blind follower after the leaders of the ceremonial church and traditions of man, rather than following the Word of God?
Did you bother to test what men taught and instructed you to obey, by the Word of God and by the Spirit of God yourself?
Do you still call yourselves as followers of Christ when you don't even believed nor desired to follow His Life?
Matthew 22:37-39 KJV
Jesus said unto him,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
How will you "love the Lord thy God" and "love thy neighbour as thyself" if you are not actually following Jesus on the Way He showed us how to love?
If you are not giving your life, you are not a Life-giving Church.
John 12:25-26 KJV
He that loveth his life shall lose it;
and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
If any man serve me, let him follow me;
and where I am, there shall also my servant be:
if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
