A word of Knowledge On Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth
A word of Knowledge
OnEver learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:7 KJV
There is a prevalent practice of confusion that leads to doubt in the Word of God.
Consider the following contradiction:
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and DIFFICULT is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is EASY and My burden is LIGHT.”
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
Any one that reads these verses will be confused and will eventually question whether the Way of Jesus is EASY or DIFFICULT.
The modern practice that will immediately come to mind to the believer will be to do a bible study of it.
That will mean to look up the deep meaning of the original greek text of these words and see what they REALLY say or when they lack in such skills, to consult commentaries of scholars, footnotes or even their pastors.
Can you imagine the kind of confusion the believer will face as the believer comes across many more of such verses and doctrines that contradict one another?
The eventual fruit of fervently reading their bible would be a growing doubt that the english translation of their bible is not flawless and is inferior to the original greek text in which they have no fluent command of the language that equals to that of their english language (the same applies to their local pastors and preachers).
Yes, DOUBT in the Word of God that is supposed to bring them FAITH!
Moreover, we know that the Word of God is always true and there is no confusion,
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV
So, what seems to be the cause of the problem?
~~~
Consider the same verses in the King James Bible (KJV):
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and NARROW is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is EASY, and my burden is LIGHT.
Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
Here, as you can see, there is no contradiction nor confusion.
This is a consistent experience throughout the whole KJV regardless of what verses you are dealing with.
The KJV is the truly preserved and time tested Word of God for the english speaking believers for the past 400 years.
It has not been changed unlike the modern translations which undergo new changes (additions and subtractions) on every new editions of publication by their Textual Criticism based on new scientific discoveries of supposedly new ancient scripture manuscript uncovered.
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV
~~~
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 14:12 KJV
If you have been planted this thought by scholars, professors or pastors that the original greek text has a deeper or richer meaning and you must study them in order to really understand the Word of God,
you have been misled just as they have been blindly following the teachings of their predecessors.
The Koine Greek used in the original scriptures is simply a common marketplace or trade language used by the common people.
Unlike literary Greek, it is made up of only a small percentage of the Greek characters so that everyone from different countries will be able to interact easily.
Even some of the authors of the New Testament books who are non greek-speaking natives are able to master and write in Koine Greek.
So, the question is, how deep can their use of Greek be?
The English language itself is just as deep if not more expressive that the Koine Greek used.
Surely, you could trust the KJV translators and their extremely stringent and thorough systems and procedures of translation, whom likely has a stronger command of Koine Greek than many of the modern translators, to translate accurately by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Or do you suppose youself or any individual scholar is able to do a better job than them to be qualified enough to doubt their translation?
Is this the Way God taught us to comprehend His Word in the Bible?
No, the Bible is written for everyone; learned or not, rich or poor, common or elite, clever or normal, scholar or not, clergy or laymen.
God wrote it such that ALL will be able to comprehend by His Spirit and does not depend on your education or man's way of scholastic trainings.
God is God, He only need to do it once in english in the KJV and that is the final authority.
Who are we to doubt His works and keep coming out with "better" translations?
Do you think God who created all things and orchestrated all things is incapable of giving us His Word in the languages that we are able to understand fluently according to our times just as He gave the Jews the Old Testament in Hebrew and in a later era the New Testament in their common language of Greek of their times?
Will you still continue to do more and more intellectual bible studies, ever learning, based on man's way of analysing and dissecting the letter rather than coming to the knowledge of the Truth fully by the guidance and teachings of the Spirit, simply by reading and believing what you read?
Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:
but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
Proverbs 12:1 KJV
#######
Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
Proverbs 23:12 KJV
This is the Way that is pleasing to God:
1) Believe the KJV is THE God ordained english translation of the preserved Word of God.
2) Believe the KJV is THE Word of God, literally every single word of it.
3) Believe in the Word of God; not other man's opinions or any learned studies.
4) Believe the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance the Word of God and teach you all things; you do not need to depend on any man's earthly education.
5) Believe the spirit of the Word, not the letter and learn the Truth.
