A word of Wisdom: Traditions of Carnal Men (A Good Friday Message)

A word of Wisdom:

Traditions of Carnal Men

(A Good Friday Message)

1 Corinthians 2:12-15 KJV

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;

that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

[13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

[15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

On this Good Friday and the coming Resurrection Day,

The formal rituals you performed and silly costumes you wore for your sacred processions and performances reflects where your heart belongs.

Luke 12:34 KJV

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

This is of the spirit of the wotld and it is not of the spirit of Christ.

The Early Church never did do all these silly rituals of empty religion.

The Apostles never did teach us to follow these traditions of carnal men.

The Father does not care for your empty religious forms.

These are simply vanity of vanities.

Matthew 7:6 KJV

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

You are just like the Pharisees and scribes who came against Christ on earth.

Galatians 3:1-3 KJV

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

[2] This only would I learn of you,

Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

[3] Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

2 Timothy 3:5 KJV

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Mark 7:6-9 KJV

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written,

This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

[7] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

[8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men,

as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

[9] And he said unto them,

Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Are you willing to abandon all your worldly ways and the traditions of  carnal men for our Lord Jesus Christ?

Will you keep His Word or will you continue to honour Him with your lips only?

John 14:23-24 KJV

Jesus answered and said unto him,

If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Brethrens, let us all REPENT!

Come, let us only worship God in spirit and in truth.

John 4:23-24 KJV

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Brethrens, let us choose to obey and follow the voice of our Shepherd from now on!

John 14:26-27 KJV

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,

he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

[27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
