A word of Wisdom: Spirtual fathers and mothers

A word of Wisdom:

Spirtual fathers and mothers

Many in the Church are accustomed to the culture of having spiritual fathers or mothers or mentors or teachers.

It does not matter what you called them, what does matter is that this is a worldly culture that has infiltrated the Church.

It is directly disobeying the Word of God.

Many falsely thought that by putting the word "spiritual" before "fathers" make it seems that they are not coming against the Word below:

Matthew 23:8-12 KJV

But be not ye called Rabbi:

for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

[9] And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

[10] Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

[11] But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

[12] And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

But Alas! Do you know you have made it worst?

The Father is God and He is spirit.

If spirit, then that makes Him our spiritual father!

He is definitely not your earthly father.

Why then are you making earthly man your spiritual fathers?

We have only One Father spiritually.

Well, actually in any case, the spirit of the message of this passage is in v11-12.

Yes, the purpose is not to exalt any mortal man, even yourself, regardless of whether one is a believer or not, a senior in faith or not, more accomplished in faith or not, more knowledgeable or not.

All believers are equal brethrens.

No one is to exalt themselves higher than another.

The first and the last laborers are paid the equal reward for the same work.

In fact, the ones that are greatest, the deeply experienced and highly accomplished in the Kingdom of God, should be the greatest servant of all!

You see, it is "servsnt"  and not "spiritual father" or "mentor" or "master" or "teacher" which are all opposites of servanthood.

For we have the only Teacher, the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26 KJV

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Every spiritual thing is taught to us by the Holy Spirit.

The natural man is unable to teach you the things that are spiritual.

We are all taught by the same and only Teacher, the Holy Spirit.

It is just that.

1 Corinthians 2:12-16 KJVS

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

[13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

[15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

[16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
