A word of Wisdom: Follow God

A word of Wisdom:

Follow God

Mark 10:18 KJV

And Jesus said unto him,

Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

In this generation of Christianity, it seems to be quite an achievement (for Christ or themselves??) for brethrens who proclaimed to be leaders to establish business-like Ministries of their own apart from the Body.

Thus, further dividing the Body which is already very divided in a vast multitude of denominations of churches.

Many believers fervently follow and idolise these ministries where the attention is centered on these Ministers, calling them good, even calling them their church.

1 Corinthians 1:12-13 KJV

Now this I say, that every one of you saith,

I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

[13] Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

And not just these Ministers, some even fervantly follow and also elevated the pastors and preachers of established or traditional churches as if they were baptized in their names. Thus, calling them good as well.

However, this is not the example and pattern revealed to us in the Word.

No mortal man is good, none is perfect  but one, that is, God, which is Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:3-5 KJV

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

[4] For while one saith,

I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

[5] Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

Paul had rebuked of this error as being carnal by the discerning of the Holy Spirit, as it is written in the New Testament.

1 Corinthians 3:18 KJV

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

These Ministers, pastors and preachers may seem to be wise but that is simply only the wisdom of the world even if they did wonders and signs and preached wonderful sermons.

None is perfect and none is always right in God.

Every one of them are flawed one way or another.

1 Corinthians 3:19-23 KJV

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

For it is written,

He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

[20] And again,

The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

[21] Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

[22] Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

[23] And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

Brethrens give glory to God not to man!

For all these wonderful things that they did and preached, are they not by the power of God through their hands and through their mouths?

How should we treat these godly men and women (Ministers, pastors and preachers) then?

You would look for God in him/her.

You would look for a revelation of the personality of God.

God moving in him/her,

God speaking in him/her,

God speaking through him/her,

God using his/her hands,

God using his/her feet

— a mind in harmony with God,

a soul in touch with heaven,

a spirit united and unified with and in Jesus Christ.

Therefore, in this manner we follow Christ and not carnal men.

Galatians 3:26-28 KJV

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

[27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

[28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

There is no longer Jews nor Gentiles.

There is no longer male nor female.

There is no longer any clergy nor laity.

No brethren is to lord over any one but we are to serve one another in love.

We are all children of God.

Brethrens, we are equal, God is no respecter of persons.

We are all the sons of God.

We are all made kings and priests of the royal priesthood onto God.

Every one of us.

Let us not subject ourselves to be followers of any man, for that is idolatry.

Let us not elevate any man lest we transgress against God.

Let us give praise to God alone only and not to any man!

1 Peter 2:9 KJV

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Revelation 1:5-6 KJV

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.

Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

[6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

Amen.

Follow God not men.
