A word of Wisdom: Faith stands in the Power of God

A word of Wisdom:

Faith stands in the Power of God

Romans 10:17 KJV

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 KJV

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

[5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

How many of our faith come by hearing the preaching of the Word in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, rather than by the eloquence of men?

Honestly, the majority of the preaching done in churches every weekend are just simply according to how the world's educational institutes taught, that is, with enticing words of man's wisdom, nothing like how our Lord Jesus taught.

For, does your heart burn within (Luke 24) when you heard the Word preached to you by any of these men?

Luke 24:32 KJV

And they said one to another,

Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

For, where is the demonstration of the Spirit?

Did the Holy Spirit come upon the congregation (Acts 10)?

Acts 10:44 KJV

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the Word.

For, where is the power of God?

Did they do any healings or signs and wonders in confirmation of the Word preached to you?

Mark 16:20 KJV

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with signs following.

Did their preaching pricked in your heart?

Acts 2:37 KJV

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Without the demonstration of the Spirit nor the power of God present, how do you know the message comes from God or from man's own erroneous carnal knowledge?

Now, as much as we want to deny it, for most of us, our faith stands not in the power of God but are really in the wisdom of man.

We follow what this renowned pastor said and what that preacher taught.

We get easily swayed back and forth by this popular teaching or tradition and that doctrine, depending on what is trending in the world and what influential religious men of high status said.

James 1:8 KJV

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

1 Corinthians 2:15-16 KJV

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

[16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

No, that is not the Way it should be.

We have the mind of Christ, let the Holy Spirit instruct us and not by man's wisdom and opinions.

1 Corinthians 2:10 KJV

[10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Fix our eyes on our Lord Jesus and He will reveal the deep things of God onto us by his Spirit.

We do not rely on any man's teachings nor judgements to instruct us on the narrow way to the strait gate.

John 14:26 KJV

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Read and understand the Word of God by the teachings of the Holy Spirit through the eyes and mind of Christ and test every teaching that is from the word of men.

The sum of the matter is this:

Take care that your Faith stands in the power of God.

Proverbs 1:7 KJV

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

[6] In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

[7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 1:2-5 KJV

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

[3] To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

[4] To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

[5] A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
