A word of Wisdom: The Tongue of Lovingkindness

A word of Wisdom:

The Tongue of Lovingkindness

Proverbs 31:26 KJV

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

1 Corinthians 13:1 KJV

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity,

I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Proverbs 18:21 KJV

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 12:18 KJV

There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

Proverbs 15:4 KJV

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Proverbs 21:23 KJV

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

James 1:26 KJV

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

James 3:5-6,8-10 KJV

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things.

Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

[6] And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity:

so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature;

and it is set on fire of hell.

[8] But the tongue can no man tame;

it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

[9] Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

[10] Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.

My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

What does it mean to speak in Lovingkindness?

To speak in lovingkindness to one another, let us always bear in mind what Charity, God's kind of love really means.

Let us seek to speak kindly and lovingly starting from our state of mind/soul, in our words and in our tones of speech to one another that is to be aligned with the following guidelines:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 KJV

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not;

charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

[5] Doth not behave itself unseemly,

seeketh not her own,

is not easily provoked,

thinketh no evil;

[6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

[7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Hearken,

Behold, let us not grieve the Holy Spirit with our tongues of iniquities.

Ephesians 4:29-32 KJV

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,

but that which is good to the use of edifying,

that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

[30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

[31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
