A word of Wisdom: Judge Thyself

A word of Wisdom:

Judge Thyself

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV

Charity suffereth long, and is kind;

charity envieth not;

charity vaunteth not itself,

is not puffed up,

[5] Doth not behave itself unseemly,

seeketh not her own,

is not easily provoked,

thinketh no evil;

[6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

[7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

[8] Charity never faileth:

Charity is agapē love, the self-sacrificing, unconditional kind of love, God's kind of love, Jesus' kind of love.

Matthew 7:1-2 KJVS

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

[2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:

and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

How do you measure against Charity?

How perfect is your love?

Let us judge ourselves and mete how we score with Charity, Jesus' kind of love towards our neighbour and towards God and the Kingdom of God.

How do you score out of 10 points against Charity?

1. Charity suffereth long, and is kind

2. Charity envieth not

3. Charity vaunteth not itself

4. Charity is not puffed up

5. Charity doth not behave itself unseemly

6. Charity seeketh not her own

7. Charity is not easily provoked

8. Charity thinketh no evil

9. Charity rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

10. Charity beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Not scoring a perfect 10 points indicates we do not yet have in possession a perfect love and that we need to reflect and repent that particular point of Charity that we failed in.

If we are the children of God, let us also act as one.

Galatians 5:24-25 KJV

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

[25] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Romans 8:26-28 KJV

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:

for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:

but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
