A word of Wisdom: Do Christians need to respond to the Olympic Games, Opening Ceremony?

A word of Wisdom: Do Christians need to respond to the Olympic Games, Opening Ceremony? The Olympic Games is the paying of tributes to or even the worship of the twelve Olympians, greek gods who reside in Mount Olympus. Why should there be any surprise or even outrage over the Opening Ceremony or the satanic rituals? They are simply doing what pagan worshippers do. The real question to Christians should have been, Why are you watching and even participating in the athletic events of the Olympic Games, the very acts of idolatry of the greek gods? 1 Kings 18:21 KJV And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Why are you going after idols of men whose idols are the greek gods? Mark 12:30 KJV And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandmen

A word of Wisdom: What are you fighting for?

A word of Wisdom: What are you fighting for? John 18:36 KJV Jesus answered,  My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Do you not know that this evil world is not our Kingdom? Do not be blinded by the politicians of the world, regardless of their faith and beliefs. Do not be blinded by the wealth of this world, regardless of poverty or riches. Do not be blinded by the events of the world, regardless of the evil thereof. Do not be blinded by social causes of the world, regardless of whether they are aligned with the will of God. Do not be blinded by the issues of life, regardless of the long-sufferings therein. But be ye walk in the Spirit at all times according to Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life. But be ye meek and lowly in heart. But be ye mind the things of the Spirit.  But be ye steadfast in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Gh

A word of Knowledge: A Double Portion

A word of Knowledge: A Double Portion Deuteronomy 21:15-17 KJV If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:  [16] Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:  [17] But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a DOUBLE PORTION of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. This is the law of the inheritance of the firstborn, which is a double portion. 2 Kings 2:9-10 KJV And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha,  Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee.  And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.  [10] And he said,  Thou hast asked a hard thing: never

A word of Wisdom: Have you fallen into Idolatry?

Image
A word of Wisdom:  Have you fallen into Idolatry? Colossians 3:5-6 KJV Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;  fornication,  uncleanness,  inordinate affection,  evil concupiscence,  and covetousness,  which is idolatry:  [6] For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In recent days, there is an exponential increasing number of unknowing believers who have fallen prey to the trap of idolatry and are still ignorant of it. Unlike the past generations, aided by the development in technology and media, there is now almost no resistance against the temptations brought forth by the devil today. In particular, this form of idolatry gaining possession of the souls is the "inordinate affection"  of man. Inordinate affection is seen as a form of idolatry because it places a person or thing above God in one's heart and life. Believers and the world alike are being mesmerised by the likes of the following: - Presidential cand

The Complete Surrender

Image
The Complete Surrender By Andrew Murray,  The Master's Indwelling Now, that is exactly what is to take place with a great many Christians.  They know Christ, they trust Him, they love Him, but He is not Master, He is a sort of helper.  When there is trouble they come to Him, when they sin they ask Him for pardon in His precious blood, when they are in darkness they cry to Him; but often and often they live according to their own will, and they seek help from themselves.  But how blessed is the man who comes and, like Potiphar, says,  “I will give up everything to Jesus!”  There are many who have accepted Christ as their Lord, but have never yet come to the final, absolute surrender of everything.  Christians, if you want perfect rest, abiding joy, strength to work for God, oh, come and learn from that poor heathen Egyptian what you ought to do. He saw that God was with Joseph and he said,  “I will give up my house to him.”  Oh, learn you to do that.

A Love that Bears with Others

A Love that Bears with Others By Smith Wigglesworth, Only Believe "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;” (Ephesians 4:2). Oh, how we need to bear “with one another in love.”  Oh, how this is contrary to hardness of heart, contrary to the evil powers, contrary to the natural mind.  It is a divine revelation, and you cannot bear with others until you know how God has borne with you.  It is God’s love toward you that gives you tender, compassionate love toward one another. It is only the broken, contrite heart that has received the mark of God.  And it is only in that secluded place, where He speaks to you alone and encourages you when you are down and out.  When no hand is stretched out to you, He stretches out His hand with mercy and brings you into a place of compassion.  And then you cannot think evil; then you cannot in any way act harshly.  God has brought you into longsuffering, with tenderness and with love. This love that I am
