A Prophetic Prayer for Christmas

A Prophetic Prayer for Christmas

Heavenly Father

I pray that the Church celebrates the Resurrected Jesus Christ seated on the Throne as the King of kings and Lord of lords,

And not forever as a baby in a manger.

Father, I pray that the Church celebrates Jesus as the Resurrected and Glorified God,

And no longer as the Jesus still hanging crucified on the cross.

Father, I pray that the Church takes her rightful place in the Kingdom of God,

And not confined and limited in a physical site.

Father, I pray that the Church preaches the full gospel of the Kingdom of God,

And not just the gospel of the Salvation from sins of the soul.

Father, I pray that the Church preaches the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the unsaved in the world.

And not unfruitfully yet repeatedly to the already saved, week after week.

Father, I pray that the Church be led by and be taught by and always be listening to the Holy Ghost,

And not by educated but carnal untested men, never tasted of the heavenly gift nor were made partakers of the Holy Ghost nor have tasted the good Word of God nor tasted of the powers of the world to come.

Father, I pray that the Church to walk in the power of the Holy Ghost and fire,

And not as having a form of godliness denying the power thereof.

Father, I pray that the Church mandates the Baptism with the Holy Spirit

And not clueless and powerless with only John's Water Baptism of repentance.

Father, I pray that the Church manifests the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit in the spiritual warfare against the kingdom of darkness,

And not ignorantly be sitting ducks for the forces of darkness, day after day.

Father, I pray for the Church to obey Christ's command to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils,

And not be hearers only but be doers, deceiving ourselves.

Father, I pray for the Church be ever in the offensive to destroy the works of the devil,

And not be foolishly cowering in fear.

Father, I pray for the Church to live out their lives to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy mind and with all thy strength,

And not just on their lips and mental assent, loving the world really.

Father, I pray the Church to love thy neighbour as thyself,

And not love more of thyself.

Father, I pray the Church to love one another, as Jesus has loved you, that ye akso love one another,

And not with our selfish kind of love.

Praise God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit!

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory, forever!

In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,

Amen.
