A word of Wisdom: Why Easter? Words Shape Your Thoughts
A word of Wisdom:
Why Easter? Words Shape Your Thoughts
Christians, why are you celebrating Easter instead of Jesus' Resurrection Day?
This erroneous tradition came about due to the Protestant Church's inheritance and acceptance of the error from the Roman Catholic Church in which it broke away from.
The Protestant Church might have been broken away from the Roman Catholic Church in spirit due to doctrinal disagreements but in terms of practices and traditions, they are still blindly following after or modified many of the traditions that it inherited instead of following after the traditions of the Apostles and the Bible itself.
One of these is the celebration of Easter and it includes most of the jargon and labels they have inherited.
For example, religious words like "Sacraments", "Holy Communion", "Lent", "Ash Wednesday", "Good Friday", "Christmas" etc, are not found in the Preserved Word of God, the Bible and such terms were never used by the first century early Church.
In fact, the Protestant Church still preserves the foolish and erroneous traditions of wearing Roman era costumes for formal rituals as well as having pastors to wear Roman clerical white collars as a form of exalted status, a separation of the clergy from the layman where Lord Jesus did not and, just like the Roman Catholic Church.
On the contrary, He made us all to be of His Royal Priesthood to perform the priestly good work in His stead and gave each of us spiritual gifts, dividing to every man severally as He will.
We are all priests (not just the pasties) who are to serve the people and God and not to be exalted as leaders of men.
Even the liturgy is modeled after the Roman Catholic Church instead of modelling after the biblical model (book of Acts and after), becoming a rigid, legalistic and institutionalised building-oriented religious organisation instead of an organic, family-oriented group of followers of Christ.
The master of the Protestant Church is really the Roman Catholic Church since they resemble the Roman Catholic Church much more than the Church prescribed by God in the Bible, even now.
Let us come back to the Easter error.
If you believe that the King James Bible {KJV) is the Preserved Word of God in English for the present time English speaking end times generation,
You will clearly see that Easter is not the celebration of Jesus' Resurrection Day.
You will read in the KJV's passage in Acts that the Lord has shown us that Easter was already an existing special day in Herod's time that is not the Resurrection Day.
It is of no consequences whether Easter refers to a pagan holiday or that it refers to the Passover.
In any case, the important thing is that the Lord is telling us of this generation that Easter does not refer to the Resurrection Day and therefore, we should follow His instruction and discontinue this error.
The Acts passage:
Acts 12:1-4 KJV
Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
[2] And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. [3] And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
[4] And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after EASTER to bring him forth to the people.
Note that no other modern English Bible translations used the word "Easter".
It is only found in the Preserved Word of God - KJV, that this revelation has been given to the children of God in this end time generations where the language of the world is English.
It is not revealed in Greek nor Hebrew because that is not the official world language in this era.
The Lord gave the Tanakh in Hebrew writings to the hebrew speaking people of God, the Jews.
The Lord gave the New Testament (Gospels and Epistles) to the Greek speaking people of God in the world of Roman empire.
And so,
The Lord gave the Old Testament and New Testament in English - the King James Bible to the people of God in a new world where English is the official world language.
The very words in the Word of God are God's specially chosen and preserved, precise and concise words to us in the language the majority of His people that is alive and remains relevant despite the ever changing people groups, cultures and times.
The words you used shapes your thinking and your understanding.
