What are the Good News of the Kingdom of God?
What are the Good News of the Kingdom of God?
Many of us have never get to hear of the purpose and fullness of the good news of the Kingdom of God that is come onto us and that which is to come.
Many of us only know that Jesus died for our sins, and rose again, the redemption from sins, eternal life, the rapture and to go to heaven and not hell after we are dead, just to name some.
However, that is not the good tidings of the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus preached.
That is only a gospel of Heaven which is only a subset of the full gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven that is being preached and understood by Jesus and the apostles.
The key difference and error being the "Kingdom" has been left out.
The gospel is not about receiving Salvation and going to Heaven as our final destination.
The gospel is about followers of Jesus Christ establishing the Kingdom of God according to the Way, the Truth and the Life which has come onto us here on earth right now, in preparation for the fullness of the Kingdom of God which is to come.
Herein lies the full depiction of the good news of the Kingdom of God:
Revelation 21:1-8 KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Revelation 21:1-2
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
[2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
==>> This is the ultimate good news of the Kingdom of God, which is the New Jerusalem coming onto earth, established in a new heaven and a new earth.
2) Revelation 21:3
[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
==>> This is the gospel of Jesus Christ;
A) You are made the sons of God:
Romans 10:9 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Acts 2:38-39 KJV
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
B) You are made royal priests of the Kingdom of God:
After Jesus was taken up into heaven, He sent the Holy Ghost to us.
John 15:26 KJV
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Acts 1:5,8 KJV
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. [8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
When you receive the baptism with the Holy Ghost by Jesus, the Holy Ghost, who is God, shall dwell in your body as His temple.
God shall dwell with us, and we shall be His people and be our God.
John 1:12-13 KJV
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
[13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Romans 8:16-17 KJV
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
[17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
1 Peter 2:9 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
When we are born again in the Spirit we become the sons of God, heirs of the Kingdom of God.
When we receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us, we are anointed as His royal priests to perfotm our priestly duties of good works and greater works against the kingdom of darkness.
When Jesus Christ comes back again as the King of kings and the Lord of lords to reign on this earth, we shall also reign with Him.
3) Revelation 21:4-5
[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
[5] And he that sat upon the throne said,
Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me,
Write: for these words are true and faithful.
==>> This is the good news of the Kingdom of God where we shall forever dwell in such a perfect new world that is free of sins, evil and the oppressions of the devil and his kingdom of darkness.
The ruler or god of this present world is not God but Satan.
The good news is that this present evil world shall ceased to exist and be replaced by a holy, perfect world, the Kingdom of God, whose King is Jesus our Christ.
The former things shall pass away.
However, before the coming of this New Jerusalem or Eden, we have been commanded by our Lord Jesus to destroy the works of the devil and the oppressions of the kingdom of darkness upon the people of this present fallen world.
This is to prepare and to confirm with signs following the good news of the coming of the Kingdom of God.
1 John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Matthew 10:7-8 KJV
And as ye go, preach, saying,
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils:
freely ye have received, freely give.
Mark 16:15-18 KJV
And he said unto them,
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[17] And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues;
[18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
The good news is that God shall make all things new.
4) Revelation 21:6-8
[6] And he said unto me,
It is done.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
[7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
[8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
==>> This good news of the Kingdom of God is the promise of God to everyone who believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and the judgement upon those who believe not
Amen.
