A word of Wisdom: How to relate to governing authority

A word of Wisdom:

How to relate to governing authority

Romans 13:1-2 KJV

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.

For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

[2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

The governing authorities or powers of the world are given their authority by God even though the rulers may think it is by their own strength.

The purpose of which is to set in motion the unfolding of biblical prophecies, all a part of the grand plan of God to eventually establish the fullness of the Kingdom of God here on earth, so that the Lord Jesus Christ may come again on earth to reign as the King of kings and the Lord of lords here on earth, forever more and we will reign together with Him.

Now what is the Kingdom of God?

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).

How will the fullness of the Kingdom of God be on earth eventually?

It will be a place where God dwells together and walks with men just as in the beginning in the Garden of Eden.

And God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:

for the old things are passed away.

(Revelation 21:3-4 KJV)

John 18:36 KJV

Jesus answered,

My kingdom is not of this world:

if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

John 17:16 KJV

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

How we should react and respond to the governing authority ordained of God for His own will and purposes?

Our Lord Jesus did not fight against the authorities in His time nor did He allowed His disciples to do so.

He willingly subject and submit Himself to the authorities even onto His own death.

That is also how we should respond and react to the authories of our time in this world.

We know it is the will of God to ordinate the powers of the world.

We know that "whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation"

It is with this understandimg of the will of God and through the example of our Lord Jesus that we are able to willingly subject ourselves to the higher powers put in place by God for His incomprehensible purposes, be it of a good or an evil ruler.

As long as the authorities do not make us trespass the commandments instructed by our Lord Jesus, we will willingly obey them even onto our death.

Philippians 1:20-21 KJV

According to my earnest expectation and my hope,

that in nothing I shall be ashamed,

but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,

whether it be by life, or by death.

[21] For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

We are living in this world but we are not of the world.

We are sons of God and His royal priests for our King and His Kingdom.

We shall inherit the Kingdom of God now and the fullness that is to come when Christ shall come again on earth.

Philippians 1:29 KJV

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

1 Peter 3:14 KJV

But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

Whatsoever we suffer now, we suffer for His sake alone.

Romans 8:16-18 KJV

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

[17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;

if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

[18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

If I am something then God is not everything

but when I become nothing,

God can become all.
