A word of Wisdom: Preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God

Image
A word of Wisdom On Preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God The main reason Christianity has become so weak and powerless in this modern generation is that we have not been preaching the good news of the Kingdom of God. The modern generation has only received the good news that Jesus saves you from sin but has little or no idea what is the Kingdom of God that Jesus Himself preached.  We only know of heaven (when we died) as the Kingdom of God but have no knowledge that God desires to bring heaven on earth, giving you the authority as the children of God and power as His royal priest to accomplish it.  In fact, God's ultimate plan is to establish the Kingdom of God on earth permanently, forever, when Jesus Christ comes again to earth.  Let us take a look at what it entails (rough outline) in the preaching of the Kingdom of God. John 16:7-8 KJV Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:  for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but i

A Prayer of Consecration by E.W. Kenyon

A Prayer of Consecration By E.W. Kenyon I have tried to do Your will and failed. Now, by Thy grace, I come to place in Thy care my all; I will to be Thine, I will to do Thy will, I will to believe Thee, I will to obey Thee, I will to know Thy will as revealed in Thy Word, I will to trust Thy Holy Spirit to indwell me, to implant, culture, and bring to perfection the graces with which thou wouldst adorn my life. I will to be led into all Thy Truth. I will to let Him control my temper, my passions, feelings, habits, emotions, conversation, and conduct, both in business and social life. I acknowledge my own helplessness in making these conform to Thy will; They have brought weakness into Thy service, sorrow and unrest into my life, and dishonor to Thee. In weakness I come to Thee. I turn them over, yield them up, Yea, gladly surrender them all to Thee, and now, dear Lord, I have willed away myself, my all, And now, I will my will, to Thee. I can do no more, have no more to give; All is T

Consecration Prayer by John G. Lake

Consecration Prayer By John G. Lake My God and My Father In Jesus Name I come to Thee. Take me as I am. Make me what I ought to be in Spirit, in Soul, in Body. Give me Power to do right. If I have wronged any, To repent, to confess, to restore. No matter what it costs, Wash me in the blood of Jesus, That I may now become Thy child. And manifest Thee in a perfect Spirit, A Holy Mind, a Sickless Body — Amen

A Prayer of Consecration

A Prayer of Consecration The Prayer of a Minor Prophet By A.W. Tozer,  Voice of a Prophet, Who Speaks For God? O Lord, I have heard Thy voice and was afraid. Thou hast called me to an awesome task in a grave and perilous hour.  Thou art about to shake all nations and the earth and also heaven that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.  O Lord, my Lord, Thou hast stooped to honor me to be Thy servant.  No man taketh this honor upon himself save he that is called of God as was Aaron.  Thou hast ordained me, Thy messenger to them that are stubborn of heart and hard of hearing.  They have rejected Thee, the Master, and it is not to be expected that they will receive me, the servant. My God, I shall not waste time deploring my weakness nor my unfittedness for the work.  The responsibility is not mine, but Thine.  Thou hast said, “I knew thee—I ordained thee—I sanctified thee,” and Thou hast also said, “Thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou sh

Herein lies the disproportion between Jesus Christ's principles and all other moral teaching: Jesus bases everything on God-realisation, while other teachers base everything on self-realisation. - Oswald Chambers

Waiting On God: To Reveal Himself

Image
Waiting On God by Andrew Murray To Reveal Himself Isaiah 25:9. it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. In this passage, we have two precious thoughts. The one, that it is the language of God's people who have been unitedly waiting on Him. The other, that the fruit of their waiting has been that God has so revealed Himself, that they could joyfully say, "Lo, this is our God . . . this is the LORD." The power and the blessing of united waiting is what we need to learn. Note that this phrase is repeated twice, "We have waited for him." In some time of trouble, the hearts of the people had been drawn together, and they had, ceasing from all human hope or help, with one heart set themselves to wait for their God. Is this not just what we need in our churches and conventions and prayer meetings? Is not the need of the church a

Successful Christian life rests on three essentials

The Power of Consecration to Principle By John G Lake Successful Christian life rests on three essentials: First:  A knowledge of the teaching of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, whose words are the final authority,  the bar where every question must be brought for final decision. The words of every other must be measured, and their value determined, by the statements of Jesus Christ.  " In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. " Second:  Consecration to do all the will of God as declared by the Lord Jesus. Third:  Recognition of the Holy Spirit as revealer, guide, interpreter, teacher, and empowerer.  For without the presence of the Spirit of God in our hearts our consecration would be valueless.  We would not be able to live it.  And without a knowledge of the teaching of Jesus our consecration would be non-intelligent.

Waiting On God: In Times of Darkness

Image
Waiting On God By Andrew Murray In Times of Darkness Isa 8:17 "I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth His face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for Him." Here we have a servant of God, waiting upon Him, not on behalf of himself, but of his people, from whom God was hiding His face. It suggests to us how our waiting upon God, though it commences with our personal needs, with the desire for the revelation of Himself, or for the answer to personal petitions, need not, may not, stop there. We may be walking in the full light of God’s countenance, and God yet be hiding His face from His people around us; far from being content to think that this is nothing but the just punishment of their sin, or the consequence of their indifference, we are called with tender hearts to think of their sad estate, and to wait on God on their behalf. The privilege of waiting upon God is one that brings great responsibility. Even as Christ, when He entered God’s presence, at once used His pla
