A word of Wisdom: What is your dominant gift?
A word of Wisdom:
What is your dominant gift?
1) The Gift of Christ
Ephesians 4:7,11-12 KJV
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
[11] And he gave some, apostles;
and some, prophets;
and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors
and teachers;
[12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Everyone who is born again would have been given a degree or limited portion of the gift of Christ,
that is dominant in you in the Body of Christ for perfecting the saints, for ministry work and for edifying the Church.
Everyone should have received a gift of Christ, but you may ask,
What if I don't seem to have received any gift or I do not know my gift?
The answer and reason for that is that you have refused to do any priestly work for the Kingdom of God and so you do not get to experience the anointing or authority or power of the gift in the ministry work, in order to know the gift you have received.
The problem is that you only wanted to enjoy your inheritance as the children of God.
What do you think is your calling, your dominant gift of Christ?
The gift of Christ pertains to the dominant ministry work and priestly duties that defines you in the Kingdom of God just as Jesus Christ did in His multiple roles of ministering to the people.
This is usually according to your personality or character make-up after you are born again.
There is a supernatural anointing in this gift that you received when you walk in your given role for His Kingdom in performing your priestly duties, just as Christ wslked in the anointing of each role that He demonstrated to us.
You may overflow at certain times to other roles for a short period but you should return to your calling as that is where your main anointing lies.
However, there can be exceptions for certain individuals whom God has singled them out for special work;
eg. Paul who changed his dominant role to an apostle later on in his life.

2) The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 KJV
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
[5] And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
[6] And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
[7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. [8] For to one is given by the Spirit
1. the word of wisdom;
2. to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
3. To another faith by the same Spirit;
4. to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
5. To another the working of miracles;
6. to another prophecy;
7. to another discerning of spirits;
8. to another divers kinds of tongues;
9. to another the interpretation of tongues:
[11] But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
When you are baptised with the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of the utterance in unknown tongues,
You received miraculous power, the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well.
These 9 gifts are the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit.
They belonged to the Holy Spirit, not you.
You are given the power to manifest the 9 gifts that are of the Holy Spirit's.
All of the 9 supernatural gifts already inherently resides in you, waiting for you to manifest them.
The 9 gifts are given by grace for you to manifest them in your priestly and ministry work for the Kingdom of God, as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher.
You are to manifest these gifts through faith,
and not through your intellectual knowledge and reasonings or intellect mind, but by the Holy Spirit,
according to the situation or circumstances encountered.
There is a dominant gift out of the 9 gifts that almost defines who you are and the manner of your administrations and operations of the diversities of gifts.
It is through the lenses or administrations and operations of the manifestation of this dominant gift that you activate all the other 8 gifts.
In order to put yourself in a strong position and in strong spirit to manifest the diversity of gifts freely,
you should persist to pray unceasingly daily in the utterance of tongues in which you had received as the initial evidence upon the Baptism with the Holy Ghost.
1 Corinthians 14:4 KJV
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;
This utterance of an unknown tongue in your private prayers is not to be confused with the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit - "8. to another divers kinds of tongues". One is your prayer language directly to God and the latter is a public prophecy or conveying of God's message in a "divers kinds of tongues" to the church which requires
"9. to another the interpretation of tongues", to interpret the divine message to the church.
Another illustration of the utterance of tongues (not the 9 gifts) is the following that Jesus referred to,
Mark 16:17 KJV
And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name ... they shall speak with new tongues;
So, my Spirit-filled brethrens, what is your dominant 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit?
